What is Disney Step Classic 2012?
The Disney STEP Classic 2012 at Walt Disney World® Resort is a world-class experience for step teams of all ages and ability levels. Your step team's performance shines with the magic of Disney's Hollywood Studios™ as your backdrop - but that's just the beginning! Your step team can also take part in a Master STEP Workshop that teaches them how to improve their technical proficiency. NEW in 2012- Teams can take part in the Disney STEP Classic Leadership workshop, specifically for participants who would like to enhance and broaden their leadership skills through an interactive Theme Park experience.
Who is eligible to perform at Disney Step Classic 2012?
- The home base of the Team must be within the 50 states excluding Arizona, Vermont or the District of Columbia
- The Team must be a step team of not less than ten (10) nor more than thirty five (35) members
- The Team must be within one (1) of the following categories: either a "14 Years Old and Under Team," composed solely of Members 14 years of age or younger as of Friday, February 18, 2012; or a "19 Years Old and Under Team," composed solely of Members 19 years of age or younger as of Friday, February 18,
2012; or an "18 Years Old and Over Team," composed solely of Members 18 years of age or older as of
February 18, 2012 (provided that, in limited circumstances with Disney Step Classic's consent, a limited
number of Members on an "18 Years Old and Over" Team may be younger than 18 years of age).
Teams falling within multiple categories must choose one or the other (and may not compete in multiple categories).
What is the selection process for Disney Step Classic 2012?
No audition is required. Complete the Disney Step Classic Application and submit it directly to the address indicated to be received no later than December 16, 2011.
Where will my group perform?
The Disney Step Classic 2012 takes place at The Premiere Theater ins Disney's Hollywood Studios®. This is an indoor 900 seat state-of-the-art theater located at the end of San Francisco Street in the Backlot area of
Disney's Hollywood Studios®
How long is the average performance?
12 minutes adjudicated performance on stage (time includes stage entrance/set-up, performance and exit).
Do our students need money once inside the park?
Your students will need spending money for food and souvenir merchandise.
What about the Team Leaders/Step Masters?
Our packages include two complimentary double occupancy (sleeping 2 to a room) team leader
Does the package include admission to the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks?
All of our packages include admission to the theme parks. Ask your Travel Planner for details.
Do I need motorcoach transportation?
Whether you stay on or off Disney property; you will need private transportation to and from all Disney Step Classic 2012 activities. Please ask your Travel Planner about adding Transportation to your package. 1st Stop Group Travel Planners can assist you with Local Transportation and Charter Transportation from your home town.
How do we know where specifically to arrive and depart from Disney Step Classic?
Prior to your performance, you will be sent an information packet including everything there is to know about your Disney Step Classic 2012 experience including specific arrival and departure locations.
Who do we call if we need assistance in Orlando?
